Vera Polozkova was put on the wanted list in Russia

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has added poetess Vera Polozkova to the federal wanted list, Mediazonadrew attention .

The fact that a criminal case was opened against Polozkova in absentia became known in February 2025. Then the poetess was added to the list of “terrorists and extremists” of Rosfinmonitoring. Next to her name there was an asterisk - this is how those who are prosecuted under articles of terrorism are marked.

What exactly Polozkova is accused of is still unknown.

In June 2023, State Duma deputy Elena Yampolskaya (now an adviser to the President of the Russian Federation) demanded that the prosecutor's office check Vera Polozkova under the article on justification of terrorism. The reason for the denunciation was a fragment of Polozkova’s interview with Dozhd, in which journalist Mikhail Kozyrev asked the poetess if she drank champagne when she learned about the explosion of Zakhar Prilepin’s car .

In 2017, Polozkova wrote on Facebook that she would “open a bottle of champagne” when Prilepin “finally gets his head blown off.” This comment concerned Prilepin’s decision to go to Donbass and form his own battalion there. In a conversation with Kozyrev, Polozkova said that she drank “maximum beer,” noting that she did not feel gloating about the attempt on Prilepin’s life and did not wish death on anyone.
