Three million documents related to the Epstein case have been published. They mention Bill Gates and Elon Musk

The US Department of Justice has published a new series of documents ( 1 , 2 , 3 ) related to the investigation into the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein , who was accused of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, CNN reported on January 30.

In total, the department released more than three million files, including more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said at a news conference.

Some published materials are hidden. In particular, according to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, personal information about Epstein’s victims, as well as explicit photos and videos, were retouched in the documents. As CNN notes, the unredacted names of the victims have already been found in the materials.

Todd Blanche said that the White House did not interfere in any way with the work of the Justice Department before the publication of the documents. “There is this argument that the Department of Justice should protect Donald Trump. This is not true. It never happened like that. We always take care of the victims,” he said.

US President Donald Trump is mentioned in the documents. An FBI document containing a list of allegations of sexualized violence related to Donald Trump has been widely circulated on social media and some media outlets. It was compiled in August 2025. According to CNN, many of the accusations appear to contain unverified data. After publication, the Ministry of Justice deleted two versions of the document, but now the file is again available on the department’s website ( .pdf ).

Some of the released files in the Epstein case concern witness interviews conducted by the FBI. In one 2021 interview, the victim said she was sexually abused by Epstein as a minor after telling him she had previously been molested. During another interview in June 2020, a witness described former Trump adviser Steve Bannon's relationship with Epstein.

The documents contained references to some American politicians and businessmen. Thus, The Telegraph writes that part of the files contained letters that Epstein sent to himself in 2013: they claim that Microsoft founder Bill Gates was allegedly diagnosed with a sexually transmitted infection after communicating with “Russian girls.” This information has not been confirmed.

Another file ( .pdf ) shows a letter that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk sent to Epstein in 2013. In it, Musk asks, “When should we go to your island?” Previously, Musk said that he rejected an invitation to one of the two islands that Epstein owned.

According to the Associated Press, some of the documents are related to Epstein's imprisonment and suicide. Some of the files include FBI reports of communications with informants who told stories related to the occult and human sacrifice.

• The US Department of Justice began publishing the first materials on the Epstein case in December 2025. A few weeks earlier, Donald Trump signed a law obliging the Justice Department to publish all materials on the Epstein case. By the end of January, the ministry had distributed more than three and a half million files. In total there are about six million materials in the case.
