Gold and silver during trading on January 30 experienced the most significant drop in recent years, Bloomberg reported.
During trading, gold fell in price by more than 10%, falling below $5,000 per ounce. This is the largest intraday drop since the 2008 global financial crisis. As Bloomberg notes, this is the largest daily drop since the early 1980s.
Silver fell more than 26%, a record intraday drop. Now silver is trading around $76.
Prior to this, gold and silver reached their maximum values at auction.
