A special application has appeared in the United States for finding a partner to raise children, but without a romantic or sexual relationship. The publication “Kosa” drew attention to this.
As conceived by the authors, the application, called Modamily, allows users to find a partner to raise children together without marriage or a romantic relationship.
33-year-old American Rave Reed spoke about her experience using the application to The New York Times. According to her, she initially wanted to find not a lover, but a reliable partner. Reed explained that, in her opinion, it is now difficult to find a person who can be both a good parent and lover.
In this regard, she decided to enter into a relationship of a new format - co-parenting, that is, raising children together without intimate relationships and marriage.
The authors of Modamily call the main goal of their product to help users build a modern family. In addition to the ability to find a partner to raise children together, the application also allows you to find a potential sperm donor. At the same time, the creators of the service recommend that users already at the start discuss expectations from parenthood and distribute child care responsibilities.
As Scythe notes, co-parenting is becoming increasingly fashionable in the United States. In addition to Modamily, the LetsBeParents and CoParents applications also offer help in finding partners for relationships in this format.
