In July 2025, the Rodnikovsky District Court of the Ivanovo Region arrested a 50% stake in Riga Bread LLC as part of interim measures in the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office to recognize a number of foreign baking companies and their owners as an extremist association. The supervisory agency claimed that the enterprise was a source of financing for extremist activities.
The Prosecutor General's Office demanded that the association be banned in Russia, which, according to its data, includes the Ukrainian LLC Riga Bread and LLC Bread Gourmet, as well as the Latvian companies Lielezers and the Ziedot.lv fund. The association, as stated, also included their owners - a citizen of Latvia and a citizen of Ukraine.
The Riga Bread bakery was founded in 2006. In Russia, the company has two production facilities - in the city of Rodniki, Ivanovo region, and in St. Petersburg. The company produces bread, pita bread, muffins, crackers, chips and other products under its own brand.
