On Wednesday, February 11, in Anapa, 17-year-old student Ilya O. started shooting at the Industrial College, where anti-terrorism exercises were held just a few months ago. 55-year-old security guard Nikolai Zamaraev died. This is at least the sixth time in the last 20 days that Russian students have staged armed attacks in educational buildings. At least 15 people were injured, one died. The number of wounded may increase, since the exact information about those injured as a result of the shooting in Anapa is not yet known.
Students of the Industrial College on Promyshlennaya Street, 2a say that at first they heard loud screams and saw people running.
“Our teacher immediately told us to barricade the doors and not raise our heads above the window sills. The shots started a little later. We counted about 17,” says Daria , a first-year student. “It was terribly scary, we remembered other similar cases when shooters burst into classrooms. We thought, what else can be done?! As a result, they wrote to family and friends and said goodbye. Because what else will you do? You can't jump out of windows.

Eyewitnesses living and working in buildings adjacent to the technical school told the editors that they heard screams and “pops” at approximately the same time.
– It was already about one or two in the afternoon. After the screams, a line of “claps” - 5-6 times in a row, then a lull and then again. The neighbor also jumped out - they started calling the police, because it was already obvious that children were running from the technical school, shouting that some guy was “shooting everyone,” says Sergei . “It seemed like he was carrying the gun directly in his hands, without hiding.” Then they found out that they had reached the hall.

In the lobby of the Anapa technical school, the shooter was met by security guard Nikolai Zamaraev. The head of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, has already officially announced his death.
“There is one dead, a security guard who was the first to take the blow, he quickly reacted and called law enforcement agencies. He did not allow the attacker to enter the technical school further,” Kondratyev wrote in his Telegram channel .
“We respected him very much, he was always very kind, he never lashed out at us, although the guys sometimes bothered us and were rude. I still don’t know his middle name - we called him Uncle Kolya,” says third-year student Anna . - And here he is, kind and kind, but he stopped the psycho. Those who were in the hall say he shot him five times. There are no options to survive there. But Uncle Kolya still managed to call the Russian Guard with a button. This psycho also wounded our librarian, Anzhelika Viktorovna!

The deceased was 55 years old and left behind a wife and daughter. The injured librarian Anzhelika Panova was hospitalized in serious condition. It is also known that an 18-year-old student was shot in the thigh.
According to college students, the shooter’s name is Ilya, he was a second-year student majoring in “Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.”
– I heard that he is from the Voskresensky farm, lives there with his mother, his father does not live with them - he is divorced. There is an older brother, he is some kind of military man, airborne forces or special forces. Probably on "SVO". This Ilya also constantly boasted that his mother is connected with the FSB, but, it seems, these are lies - she is such an “activist”: she constantly complains about stray dogs, then she collects “humanitarian aid” for the “SVO,” says Anna.
Fellow students recall that back in 2025, Ilya began posting videos on social networks about other attacks on educational institutions. And a few days before the shooting, he changed the description on his TikTok to “There will be no innocent people.” “Caution, News” found out that he put “a man with a shotgun and another American school shooter” as his avatar on social networks. Interlocutors of the TG channel Shot from among his classmates said that Ilya O. was a C student and had communication problems, and was also worried about his parents’ divorce.
Meanwhile, the TG channel "ChP Anapa" published an audio recording - a young man, apparently a student at a technical school, emotionally describes what happened and says that allegedly Ilya wanted to get a diploma before graduating and gave a bribe to the technical school employees, but they did not give him the document. And he came to take revenge.
The shooter was detained by Russian Guard officers. According to eyewitnesses, it was loaded with ammunition.
- He still has a grandfather. They say he took the gun from him,” Anna retells the conversations of her peers. – I don’t believe that he actually planned it. A bunch of students post videos about Columbine, write about the “guilty” and in the end don’t go anywhere. And in general, he announced the attack for February 20th. Nobody took it seriously. No one bullied him or poisoned him. He was blown away not because of bullying, but, it seems, they promised him a diploma. Paul Lama paid, but they cheated him. More precisely, they said - you will have to study for another year and a half, and will be issued in 2027. And he went crazy.

When asked whether it is really possible to buy a diploma at the institution, our interlocutors did not answer clearly.
“Well, they buy exams: 10-50 thousand, depending on the teacher,” one of the students confesses.
The version about the purchase of the diploma, however, was later refuted by the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region.
On August 28, the All-Russian anti-terrorism exercise was held at the Anapa Industrial College. The management reported on this in their public page on Vkontakte , emphasizing that “the exercises at AIT were successful, demonstrating the high readiness of the team to act in the event of emergency situations.” A similar event took place at the technical school a year earlier, which the administration also reported on the social network with a post of the same content .
On January 22, in Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, a seventh-grader with a knife and firecrackers staged a stabbing at Lyceum No. 37. He attacked a cleaning lady, wounded her in the arm and exploded one or more firecrackers, after which he was detained by Russian Guard officers.
On the morning of February 3, a ninth-grader came to Ufa gymnasium No. 16, lit a firecracker in the hallway, then entered the classroom, where he shot the 56-year-old class teacher in the face, as well as in the direction of several classmates. “The teacher suffered bodily injury in the form of an abrasion on his face. There were no other victims,” the RF IC reported. According to KP , the teenager planned the attack for almost a week, describing his intentions on his personal channel on social networks. There he posted threats against teachers who were “clinging” to him, and also promised to “punish” the entire class.
On the same day in Krasnoyarsk Kodinsk at school No. 4, a seventh-grader tried to stab a teacher with a kitchen knife, and after her classmates prevented her, she wounded a classmate. According to local media, there was no security at the educational institution, and the “grandmother guard” ignored the students’ calls for help - she allegedly refused to watch the CCTV footage and press the panic button. After the emergency, director Yulia Shikina, apparently, faces dismissal. The teachers came to her defense and wrote letters of resignation en masse. Parents also joined them, writes NGS 24 . They appealed to Governor Mikhail Kotyukov and Minister of Education Tatyana Gridasova with a request not to fire Shikina and to protect teachers from pressure from above. According to them, the vast majority of teachers have already written letters of resignation - that's about 20 people.
The next day, February 4, 14-year-old 8th grader from Krasnoyarsk Vladislava Shevchenko brought gasoline and a hammer to school No. 153. First, she doused one of her peers with gasoline and set him on fire, after which she set fire to a rag and threw it into the classroom. Then she stood at the door with a hammer in her hands and hit those who tried to run out on the head. As a result, three suffered burns, one victim needed a skin graft, and two were injured from being hit with a hammer.
According to the girl's parents , they had no idea that their daughter had problems communicating with classmates. However, her older sister admitted that she faced bullying at school because of her appearance and clothing style. Because of this, “I often returned home in tears and felt lonely.”
“Her name at school was “hikka,” my son’s classmates told me,” says the mother of a schoolboy who suffered from burns, Natalya . “But our guy didn’t bully her, he just sat on the first desk where she threw the rag on fire.
“The day before, Vlada posted a sticker of a burning man in her class chat and signed it “burn alive.” Of course, no one took it seriously. There are many such wild messages in school chats. But she carried the hammer in her backpack! And gasoline,” says Alena, an eighth-grader at school No. 153. – My mother eventually forbade me to go to school! And my younger sister. Now online learning is knocking us out. While the director refuses, he complains that everyone is transferring children in a panic and soon there will be no one left at school. Well, what did they want?! We have two old ladies sitting there on guard. No metal detector frame. Although it later turned out that the school spent more than 10 million in a year “on security.” Mom says that she will achieve it anyway, they cannot ban us online: “I won’t let you into school anymore.” I'm also afraid to go there.
The school director, Nelly Lukyanova, was fired, and on February 6, the court placed two security guards, 56 and 69 years old, under house arrest. They are accused under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (performing work or providing services that do not meet safety requirements).
On February 7, a 15-year-old teenager broke into the BSMU dormitory on Repin Street in Ufa with a knife, where foreigners live. There he destroyed the entire floor, set firecrackers on fire and tried to enter the rooms where the students had barricaded themselves. As a result, three students were stabbed, and one student was sprayed with pepper spray in the face by the attacker. Two police officers who responded to the call were injured during the arrest. The injured students are Indians. It is believed that the attack may have been related to racial hatred. After the attack, the teenager drew a swastika on the wall with blood, ASTRA writes , citing eyewitnesses who published photos and videos of the incident. Indian students have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking for their safety and monitoring of the investigation.
“The epidemic of jokes in schools and colleges can no longer be ignored,” writes politician and former Moscow municipal deputy Yulia Galyamina on her FB page. “And these are the same “educational results” that the current course towards “sovereignization of education” produces, which Vladimir Putin once solemnly announced. Not the totalitarian militaristic enthusiasm that Kremlin propaganda reports about and anti-Kremlin propaganda is indignant about. The main thing is The result of changes in education in recent years has been an increase in psychological tension, anxiety, irritation and fatigue. Because the life of Russian schools, which is not the most prosperous in many ways, has been superimposed with unpredictable manual control, hypercontrol, repression and a lot of additional propaganda and bureaucratic work. And it is they who disrupt the psychological thread and lead to violence. It is clear that the most unstable in this whole structure are teenagers who do not yet know how to regulate their emotions. too strong and it ends in tragedy."
