According to sources of Novaya Gazeta Europe, last week the third son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, was discharged from the Botkin hospital, where he spent almost three weeks after an accident in Grozny. Only after waiting for his return to Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov finally personally commented on the situation with the accident that occurred on January 18 in the center of Grozny due to the fault of the driver of the lead car of his son’s motorcade. On February 9, during a meeting with the republic’s prosecutor Arsan Adayev, Kadyrov said : “128 thousand accidents occurred throughout the country, 13,009 people died, but no one cares about this, no one says anything. And from somewhere the story about the accident of Kadyrov’s son became number one in world news.”
From the words of the head of Chechnya, it was not entirely clear what surprised him most in such a situation - the mere appearance of information about the accident in the public field or the fact that there was such increased attention to what happened.
The head of Chechnya congratulated the prosecutor of the republic on being awarded the rank of lieutenant general for “clear interaction between supervisory authorities, law enforcement agencies and the executive branch.” This “interaction” is probably expressed in the fact that the republican prosecutor’s office systematically turns a blind eye to the lack of criminal cases regarding road accidents involving high-ranking Chechen officials.
On February 10, the first video with Adam Kadyrov after a long treatment appeared on Kadyrov’s official Telegram channel. It was removed by the head of Chechnya himself. In the text under the video, Ramzan Kadyrov explains: “Late dinner with my dear brother, assistant to the Head of the Chechen Republic Vismurad Aliyev, and Secretary of the Security Council of the Chechen Republic Adam Kadyrov, “resurrected” despite the latest stuff.”

However, in the video itself, which lasts less than a minute, only Ramzan Kadyrov himself and his assistant are eating (either ice cream or yogurt). Adam Kadyrov does not eat anything. And the first thing that catches your eye is that he has lost noticeably weight since his last public appearance.
As Novaya Gazeta Europe reported, during the accident Adam Kadyrov received injuries that were not life-threatening, and his treatment could well have been entrusted to Chechen doctors. However, Adam Kadyrov’s parents decided to play it safe and hospitalized their son in one of the best clinics in Moscow. At the Botkin Clinic, according to our information, Adam Kadyrov had his spleen removed and was prescribed a strict diet for six months, excluding high-fat meat, spicy and salty foods. Also, Kadyrov’s son was diagnosed with a cracked jaw as a result of a head injury, which in itself excluded him from eating solid food for some time. In three weeks of dieting, 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov lost excess weight and lost his childhood plumpness.

The only serious consequence of the accident, according to a source from Novaya Gazeta Europe, was damage to the optic nerve, already diagnosed by doctors at the Botkin Hospital. According to our source, “it is still not clear what the consequences of this injury are, there is a danger that Dostum ( call sign Adam Kadyrov - Ed. ) will remain blind in one eye.”
The three security guards who were in the lead car of the motorcade during the accident with Adam Kadyrov were less fortunate. All three have also been missing from the public eye since January 18th. According to our sources, at least two of them - Bislan Kaimov and Apti Iraskhanov (the nephew of the Minister of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic Aslan Iraskhanov) - were also evacuated to Moscow. They were hospitalized at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation with much more serious injuries (to the head and spine). The hospitalization of Bislan Kaimov, who is considered Adam Kadyrov’s best friend, was confirmed by his brother, publishing videos and photographs from the hospital.
According to sources of the Chechen telegram channel NIYCO, Bislan Kaimov received a severe traumatic brain injury and may remain paralyzed for life.
