RBC adds that as part of this program, schoolchildren have already helped older people master the use of smartphones. At the same time, students are also used to write “biographical materials” about participants in the hostilities in Ukraine, adds Siberian Express.
From September 1, Russian schools will also introduce the compulsory subject “Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Russian Federation.” Moreover, in the 2026/27 academic year it will be taught only in 5th grades, and a year later it will be expanded to sixth and seventh grades.
For the sake of the new subject, English hours in grades 5-7 will be cut - from 510 to 408 hours. There will be almost a hundred fewer lessons in the total volume of English.
