65-year-old jeweler from Gatchina Alexander Dotsenko was hospitalized with a heart attack. His lawyer Sergei Podolsky announced this on his channel on February 14.
The defender said that he received a call from an unfamiliar number and was asked to tell Dotsenko’s daughter “that he had a heart attack and was in intensive care.”
According to Podolsky, since February 12, FSIN employees hid from the convict’s family what happened to him. Before hospitalization, he was in colony settlement No. 8 in St. Petersburg.
After the heart attack, Dotsenko was in critical condition. He was put into an artificial coma. On February 14, his daughter visited the hospital where he was taken. In the following days, Dotsenko’s support group reported that there was no change in his condition.
On February 17, his sedation level was reduced . The support group reported that Dotsenko was “slightly regaining consciousness,” but his heart condition was worsening. The next day, Dotsenko became worse and was again put into an artificial coma.

- In July 2024, the jeweler was sentenced to three years in a penal colony. His wife, artist Anastasia Dyudyaeva, was sentenced to three and a half years in a penal colony in the same case. They were found guilty of calls for terrorism (Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, the couple distributed leaflets in Ukrainian at the Lenta grocery store. Among other things, there was the inscription “Putinyaku to Gilyak” .
- Dotsenko and Dyudyaeva were detained in January 2024. They have been in custody since then.
