The winners of Berlinale 2026 have been announced. The main prize goes to the film “Yellow Letters” by German director with Turkish roots Ilker Catak

The film “Yellow Letters” by German director of Turkish origin Ilker Çatak received the Golden Bear, the main prize of the 76th Berlin Film Festival. The awards ceremony took place on the evening of February 21 at the Berlinale Palace on Postdamer Platz.

The Grand Prix of the Berlinale jury, which was headed by director Wim Wenders in 2026, went to the film “Salvation” by Emin Alper.

The Silver Bear jury award went to Lance Hammer's A Queen at Sea.

Grant Gee won the Best Director award for Everybody Likes Bill Evans.

The award for Best Leading Actor went to Sandra Hüller (Rose), and Best Supporting Actor to Anna Calder-Marshall and Tom Courtenay (Queen at Sea).

The prize for best screenplay was won by Genevieve Dulud-de Selle for the film “Nina Rosa”.
