The publication of the “Epstein files” caused many high-profile scandals, primarily in politics and business. At the same time, many influential friends of the financier and sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, including possible accomplices of his crimes, avoided any real consequences, not counting damage to their reputation. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Prince Andrew, brother of King Charles III, was stripped of his title in 2025 due to his close ties to Epstein. Virginia Giuffre (Epstein's most famous victim, she committed suicide in the spring of 2025) claimed that she had sex with Andrew three times when she was 17 years old. In February 2026, Andrew was detained for questioning on charges of official misconduct. He is believed to have passed classified information to Epstein while serving as Britain's special envoy for international trade and investment. After questioning, Andrew was released, but the investigation against him continues.

Thomas Pritzker

Resigned as head of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which manages a global chain of hotels and resorts. In 2024, Virginia Giuffre testified that she was sexually assaulted by Pritzker. He denies these accusations, although he admits that he maintained a relationship with Epstein.

Sultan Ahmad bin Sulayem

The UAE businessman, chairman and CEO of logistics giant DP World, resigned after the publication of correspondence showing his close relationship with Epstein. The official statement did not directly state the reason for the resignation.

Brad Karp

The head of the large law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison resigned from his post after the publication of correspondence with Epstein. The resignation letter referred to "recent news events that have placed [Karp] in the spotlight, which was not in the best interests of the company." Epstein's name was not mentioned.

Casey Wasserman

The founder and head of one of the largest American agencies, representing the interests of many famous athletes and musicians, announced that he was selling his business, amid publications about contacts with Epstein. Wasserman also heads the committee for the preparation of the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles; thousands of people have already signed a petition for his removal from this position.

Katie Ruemmler

The head of legal affairs at Goldman Sachs, a former White House counsel under President Barack Obama, has announced her resignation. It is known that she corresponded and met with Epstein a lot and received gifts from him.

Larry Summers

The former US Treasury Secretary and former Harvard President retired from teaching and resigned from OpenAI's board of directors following the publication of his correspondence with Epstein.

Peter Mandelson

One of the most important figures in the British Labor Party. After the publication of the “Epstein files,” he lost his post as British Ambassador to the United States. An investigation was launched against him on suspicion of transferring classified information to Epstein about the financial decisions of the British authorities.

Morgan McSweeney

A longtime ally of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has resigned as his chief of staff, taking responsibility for the appointment of Mandelson as ambassador to the United States, despite his ties to Epstein.

Miroslav Lajcak

The former President of the UN General Assembly resigned from his post as National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of Slovakia. The published documents contained his correspondence with Epstein, including jokes about women and discussions of contacts with Sergei Lavrov. Lajcak admitted he was wrong to maintain a relationship with Epstein, but denied any allegations of crimes.

Peter Attia

A longevity expert has stepped down as chief science officer for protein bar maker David Protein. AG1 (a nutritional supplement manufacturer) stopped working with him as a consultant. Attia publicly apologized , while stating that he had nothing to do with Epstein's crimes.

Sarah Ferguson

The ex-wife of ex-Prince Andrew closed her charity when it emerged she had maintained a relationship with Epstein after he was convicted of soliciting sex from an underage girl.

Thorbjorn Jagland

The former Prime Minister of Norway and the former Secretary General of the Council of Europewere charged with aggravated corruption. The investigation is studying his correspondence with Epstein, including Epstein’s attempts to reach the Russian leadership through Jagland. Jagland said he was ready to cooperate with the investigation.

Mona Juul and Terje Rød-Larsen

The husband and wife Norwegian diplomats (who were among the key people in negotiating the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1993) became the subject of an anti-corruption investigation when it was revealed that Epstein bequeathed them millions of dollars. Juul lost her position as Norway's ambassador to Jordan and Iraq.

Jacques Lang and Caroline Lang
