Ekaterina . I realize that I'm lucky. In particular, because all my loved ones are far from the front line and, in general, from the whole situation, physically and mentally. There are no drones flying here, the Internet works without interruptions, everything seems to be as usual. And I feel a certain isolation and rejection when I read letters from other Meduza readers.
I understand that this is all obviously wrong and, of course, must end. What other attitude could there be towards war? But I myself am not afraid or ashamed. What to be ashamed of? The fact that I was born who I was born and live where I live? What stupidity.
This war doesn't occupy my entire head. I catch myself thinking that lately I’ve even been just scrolling through the news about what’s happening there. Some things to do, some plans for the future, taking into account the situation and changing conditions. The socio-political situation, rising crime rates, visa restrictions and food prices are depressing.
This will all seem cynical to some, probably. However, this is how it is in my environment. It seems to me that this is how most people live. If we’re going to share our thoughts, then do it honestly. I just hope that everything will work out, and this “everything” is different for everyone.
