A teenager stabbed his sleeping mother to death and hid the body in the cellar

In Nyandoma, Arkhangelsk region, a 17-year-old teenager, whose name has not been released, was suspected of murdering a 51-year-old mother, the regional department of the Investigative Committee reported .

According to the department, on February 22 of this year, the teenager stabbed his sleeping mother “on the basis of personal hostility.” He hid the woman's body in the cellar, after which he fled the crime scene.

At the time of writing the news, the Investigative Committee announced the detention of a teenager. He is a suspect in a murder case and has already confessed, the department said.

The investigation intends to go to court with a demand to arrest the young man. In addition, the law enforcement agency establishes all the circumstances of the murder, as well as the reasons and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime.

Earlier, on February 13, the Kumertau Interdistrict Court in Bashkortostan arrested for two months a 25-year-old local resident, whose name was not released, on charges of brutally murdering his own mother. According to the prosecution, the man had an argument with his mother in the kitchen of his own apartment. After that, he went to the bathroom to get an ax and attacked the woman, knocking her to the floor. The man then struck "multiple blows" with an ax to the neck area and cut off his victim's head, the report said.

Having dealt with the woman, the accused, according to the investigation, “pursuing the goal of hiding the traces of the crime and subsequent disposal of them,” dismembered the body of the murdered woman and “placed the body parts in plastic bags, glass household jars and plastic basins.”
