Apple introduced the MacBook Neo on March 4, its cheapest laptop.
Prices start at $599, but education customers will be able to purchase it for a discounted price of $499. By comparison, the MacBook Air starts at $1,099 and the Pro model starts at $1,699.
The base $599 MacBook Neo has 256 gigabytes of internal storage but no Touch ID. The $699 model has twice the storage capacity at 512 gigabytes and includes Touch ID.
MacBook Neo is available in four colors: silver, pink, citrus and indigo.

The company began accepting pre-orders for the model. The MacBook will go on sale on March 11.
