Sobyanin spoke about a massive drone attack on the capital. In three hours approaching the city, 16 UAVs have already been shot down; neither the authorities of Moscow nor the Moscow region announced an air raid alert.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin began at 12:27 and continues to publish reports about drones shot down on approach to the capital. In total, the mayor has already spoken about 16 drones flying towards Moscow that were shot down by air defense forces.

“Emergency services specialists are working at the site where the debris fell,” the mayor repeated:

There are no preliminary injuries or injuries.

Neither the Moscow authorities nor the Moscow region authorities announced an air alert.

In Sobyanin’s Telegram channel, messages about UAVs coexist with reports about the successes of Moscow schoolchildren in physics, chemistry and robotics. And Governor Andrei Vorobyov’s channel has not been updated at all today (last update March 12).

The previous UAV attack on Moscow took place on March 8 - then the capital authorities reported a total of 6 downed attack drones.

The Russian authorities are systematically combating UAV attacks, limiting, among other things, mobile communications: UAVs can supposedly correct their course because they have a SIM card in the control unit.
