The premiere of the Russian film “Skuf” in Russia has been canceled, and the film itself will not be released in the country. This was reported by TASS in the press service of the Atmosfera Kino company, which acted as the distributor of the project.
“Yes, the film “Skuf” has left the release schedule of the Atmosfera Kino company,” they said.
The Russian premiere of the film “Skuf”, in which the main roles were played by famous bloggers Alexander Zubarev and Nikolai Vasilenko, as well as singer Valya Karnival and TV presenter Leonid Yakubovich, was scheduled for April 16.
However, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Culture, there have been no applications for issuing a distribution certificate for the film. It was previously reported that the main character of the film, performed by Zubarev, was to be a typical “skuf” - a neglected middle-aged man who devoted his life to watching TV, drinking beer and playing computer games.
However, after his own daughter does not invite the hero to her wedding, he decides to radically change his life and transform himself.
Earlier it became known that several more film premieres planned in Russia were canceled due to the refusal to issue a distribution certificate by the Ministry of Culture. In particular, we are talking about the film “Moment”, dedicated to the singer Charli XCX, the premiere of which was planned by the film distribution company “Russian Report” for April 23.
Another high-profile release that never made it to Russian big screens was the film “Nuremberg,” directed by James Vanderbilt and starring Russell Crowe. It was supposed to be released in Russia on March 19.
