
On the night of March 18, drones attacked Krasnodar; a person died as a result of the attack. This was reported by the head of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, and the mayor of the city, Evgeny Naumov.
According to the governor, three houses were damaged. In one of them, after being hit by a drone, a fire occurred; in the second, fragments of the drone were found on the balcony of an apartment. Another drone crashed into the wall of a house, but did not catch fire.
ASTRA writes that one of the damaged high-rise buildings is located one kilometer from the Krasnodar-Central military airfield, the second is three kilometers away.
The mayor recommended not sending children to school due to the “turbulent situation” in the city. At the same time, as he noted, all social institutions in the city are working on schedule and are ready to accept children.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 85 Ukrainian drones were shot down on the night of March 18, including 42 over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory. The Ukrainian military has not yet commented on the strike on Krasnodar.
