By 2030, the Ministry of Digital Development plans to invest another 15 billion rubles (up to 84 billion) in a federal project to expand Internet blocking and filtering methods, Kommersant reports , citing the department’s order.
By 2030, it is planned to increase the throughput of technical means of countering threats to 954 Tbit/s. This will make it possible to analyze all RuNet traffic with a reserve for its natural growth, the expansion of blocking and the emergence of new methods of bypassing them, said experts interviewed by the publication.
The capacity of the automated security system (ASSI), which includes TSPU, will be increased by 2.5 times. Previously it was planned that by 2030 it would reach 752.6 Tbit/s. According to the Ministry of Digital Development’s plan, by 2026, 100% of Runet traffic should be processed by the system.
TSPU is a tool for in-depth analysis and filtering of traffic. With its help, you can block a website or VPN protocol, determine which user goes where and what data he transmits, wrote the “On the Connect” project.
