Chechen woman Aishat Baymuradova, killed in Armenia in October 2025, was buried at the Nubarashen cemetery in Yerevan. The ceremony was organized by the Armenian authorities, reports the crisis group SK SOS.
The media write that about 20 people came to the funeral, including journalists and activists. A bailiff was also present at the ceremony.
The only speech was made by journalist Anna Yeganyan, who herself did not have time to recognize Aishat before the murder.
The girl's grave is located on the outskirts of the cemetery. Later, activists plan to install a tombstone on it.
Let us remind you that Aishat Baimuradova is a 23-year-old native of Chechnya, who was found dead in an apartment in Yerevan on October 19, 2025. She lived there after escaping from Russia from family violence.
Human rights activists believe that an “honor killing” took place in Yerevan, organized by the girl’s relatives. Two people are considered suspects: Aishat’s acquaintance Karina Iminova and Chechen Said-Khamzat Baysarov. According to investigators, they are hiding in Russia. =
Back in mid-December, the Armenian Investigative Committee turned to its colleagues from the Russian Federation for help in investigating the case, but the request remained unanswered. In addition, none of Aishat’s relatives responded to the offer to take her body to bury it at home.
