Lipetsk schoolchildren were given a provocative questionnaire with questions about race, family, friendship with migrants and attitudes towards prisoners of war.

Social activist Ekaterina Mizulina, whose audience consists of modern schoolchildren, published on Friday photographs of a real questionnaire, which was distributed among 12-year-old students of School No. 59 in Lipetsk. The survey questions are formulated in an absolutely provocative manner:

• "86. All homeless people and beggars must be caught and forced to work.”

• "62. It is unfair to put people of color in leadership over white people."

• "88. People of a different race or nationality may be normal people, but I would prefer not to take them as friends."

• "34. If for the sake of justice you need to kill a person, that’s normal.”

• "3. Stray dogs must be destroyed because they can be dangerous."

• "37. I believe that one dose of drugs cannot make you a drug addict.”

• "28. When I grow up, I will try to defend my Motherland from enemies."

• "43. Prisoners of war can be treated cruelly, because they are our enemies."

• "14. When I become an adult, I will be able to live happily without creating my own family.”

The question about the preference not to start a family is repeated several times in the questionnaire in different formulations.

HOW DOES THIS WORK
Schoolchildren were asked to choose theses with the wording of which they not only agreed, but agreed, on a scale from +4 (very strongly agree) to -4 (very strongly disagree), taking into account 0 (neither yes nor no).

“The guys were surprised and didn’t understand why they were asking such difficult questions. I don’t understand either,” Mizulina wrote .

The administration of the Lipetsk school has not yet commented on the situation. The Ministry of Education of the Lipetsk Region formulates its reaction.

Without waiting for her, on Saturday Mizulina published a new message with screenshots from the media from different years, where parents of schoolchildren from different Russian regions spoke indignantly about similar cases. Mizulina concludes that back then we were talking about the same questionnaire.

“The questionnaire appeared in 2006, the name is “To the class teacher about diagnosing the process of education in the classroom. Methodology for diagnosing personal growth." All these manuals came to schools on the basis of various orders, work plans of educational institutions, work calendars,” she reports .

However, it is more likely that the questionnaire changes over time. This assumption can be made from the wording of some questions in the Lipetsk questionnaire.

• "49. Judging “ours” at international competitions is often unfair, because no one likes Russians.”

• "54. I don’t like it when our anthem is played - it’s boring and you have to get up all the time.”

(The anthem has been introduced in Russian schools since 2022).

2019 wording of the question about pacifists:

• “People who oppose war are actually cowardly”

And in the questionnaire of Lipetsk schoolchildren it’s a little different:

• "17. People who oppose war are probably just cowards."

There are different versions of the questionnaire found on the Internet with different sets of questions , the wording of which also differs in some places.

I recall the February speech of Presidential Administration official Alexei Zharich, who said that Kremlin political strategists live by electoral cycles, so they are “certainly studying” Russians who will come to vote for the first time in 2030 - they are now 13-18 years old, that’s 10.5 million people.

In addition, Zarić added, “we already know our voter who will vote in 2036, he is eight years old today, this is a person who went to first grade...”
