Security forces in Chelyabinsk detained Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Yaroslavl Region Vyacheslav Korobeinikov in a corruption case. According to media reports, the case is related to an episode when an official worked in Karabash as deputy mayor.
The investigation believes that Korobeinikov received a bribe of 270 thousand rubles from the director of a commercial organization from December 2022 to October 2023. In return, he undertook to provide patronage to a company that, under a contract with the Karabash administration, was working on the water intake of Lake Serebry under the Clean Water program.
On the morning of April 1, searches were carried out at Korobeinikov’s place, and the issue of a preventive measure is now being decided. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
