Ukraine submitted a ceasefire request to the United States for Easter and invited the American delegation to Kyiv
Vladimir Zelensky spoke with reporters and said that Ukraine still adheres to its proposal for an Easter ceasefire and has forwarded this request to the United States. “We all saw their [Russian] answer in the media space: they don’t seem to be ready for this. I don't know how serious this answer is. We conveyed our request to the American side. I don't know if they will have the opportunity to convey their message to the Russians. We’ll see,” said the President of Ukraine.
The Kremlin had rejected the idea of an Easter ceasefire a few days earlier. “From the statements of Zelensky that we read, we did not see a clearly formulated initiative for an Easter truce,” said Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
During a conversation with reporters, Zelensky also said that he offered the United States an alternative to a trilateral meeting at the level of technical groups. “I invited the American negotiating delegation to Kyiv. <…> An American group can come to us, and after us go to Moscow. If the three of us don’t work out, let’s do it this way,” Zelensky said .

Kharkov has been under attack for almost two days. According to the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, at least seven people were injured as a result of the latest attacks, and two of the wounded later died - a man aged about 60 and a 29-year-old woman.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, the Kherson and Zhytomyr regions were attacked, and in the Kyiv region, the Kiev Cardboard and Paper Mill in the city of Obukhov temporarily stopped work. The press service of the plant noted that it produces “exclusively general consumer goods for the civilian population” and “is in no way connected with military infrastructure, defense complex facilities or military orders.”
