On January 26, 2022, a search was conducted in Alexander’s apartment. Security forces seized the equipment and took the owner away for interrogation. Afterwards, Strukov disappeared; for half a day neither his relatives, nor friends, nor lawyers, nor human rights activists could find him. At night, Alexander got in touch and said that he was in a temporary detention center - a temporary detention center - as a suspect in a crime.

Expert Danila Mikheev, who conducted a psychological and linguistic study, believes that these statements contain signs of inciting hatred and hostility towards people of Russian nationality, and are also aimed at committing terrorist acts, destroying employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, members of the United Russia party, and even calling for an attack on the life of Vladimir Putin personally.
For his words, Alexander was tried under several articles of the Criminal Code:
- Part 2 Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code “Public calls for terrorist activities committed using the Internet”
- clause "a" part 2 art. 282 of the Criminal Code “Incitement to hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity, committed using the Internet”
- Part 1 Art. 148 of the Criminal Code “Violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion”, better known as “insulting the feelings of believers”
On November 3, 2023, Strukov was sentenced to 8 years in a general regime colony and a fine of 200,000 rubles. On January 30, 2024, an appeal against the verdict was held, the court commuted the sentence - Strukov received 7 years and 10 months in prison, a ban on website administration and a fine of 180 thousand rubles.

At the same time, in the ruling on its conduct, which the defense received today, Mikheev’s work is not assessed in any way.
