
The teacher, who was attacked by a schoolboy with a knife in the city of Dobryanka on the morning of Tuesday, April 7, died in hospital. This was announced by the Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin.
“Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the doctors, Olesya Petrovna Bagut, a teacher of Russian language and literature at school No. 5 Dobryanka, could not be saved,” he wrote in the telegram channel.
The incident occurred on the morning of April 7 at the entrance to school No. 5. According to authorities, a 17-year-old ninth grader attacked his class teacher with a knife. The teacher was hospitalized in serious condition with wounds to the neck, back and stomach, but she later died in the hospital.
The suspect was detained and his motives are being clarified.

Initially, the case was opened under the article of attempted murder. After the death of the teacher, he was reclassified under the article of murder (Part 1, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to media reports and telegram channels, the teenager could have experienced “personal hostility” towards the teacher. It is also reported that he was registered with the police and repeatedly remained for re-training.
According to the Baza telegram channel, the teacher did not allow the teenager to take the exam in one of the subjects.
