Suspects in the murder of Chechen woman Aishat Baimuradova are wanted in Russia

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs' search database contains cards of Karina Iminova and Said-Khamzat Baysarov, who are considered involved in the murder of Chechen native Aishat Baimuradova, human rights activists from the SK SOS Crisis Group reported.

The cards say that Iminova and Baysarov are “wanted under an article of the Criminal Code.” The department does not specify which one.

Iminova is also wanted as a missing person. “This may indicate that friends or relatives are also looking for Iminova and have contacted the authorities with a corresponding request,” human rights activists note.

In addition, Iminova’s card indicates two nationalities (Lachka and Kyrgyz), while similar information about Baysarov is missing. He is a native of Chechnya.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not specify when exactly Iminova and Baysarov were put on the wanted list.

• 23-year-old native of Chechnya Aishat Baimuradova, who ran away from her family, disappeared in Yerevan on October 15, 2025. The girl went to meet a friend from social networks, Karina Iminova, and did not return. A few days later, Baimuradova was found dead.
• Iminova was caught on surveillance cameras of the house where Baimuradova was killed. At the time of filming, according to human rights activists and journalists, she was accompanied by Said-Khamzat Baysarov. He is called the nephew of businessman Ruslan Baysarov, the father of the youngest son of singer Kristina Orbakaite and a friend of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
• The investigation considers Iminova and Baysarov suspects in the murder of Baymuradova. Armenia put them on the wanted list back in November 2025. It is believed that the suspects acted on the instructions of a “not yet identified person.”
• Human rights activists and friends were able to bury Aishat Baimuradova only in March 2026. Five months after the murder, none of the relatives came to pick up the body.
