The Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested college student Konstantin Bodunov for 10 days under a protocol of petty hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), “Caution, Moscow” and “Mediazona” drew attention.
Bodunov, as follows from the court decision and media publications, came to the Lenin Mausoleum on Red Square on the afternoon of April 8. He stood in line at the mausoleum, reached the sarcophagus with Lenin’s body, and then hit the sarcophagus several times and threw his moccasin at it.
The student did not admit guilt. He explained his action by saying that he “did not agree with the economic and religious policies” of Vladimir Lenin. According to Caution, Moscow, Bodunov is 18 years old and a first-year student.
