Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz again

Iranian authorities have announced that the Strait of Hormuz is again “under the strict management and control” of the country’s armed forces, the Associated Press reports.

Iran's Joint Forces Command warned in a statement that it would prevent shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz as long as the United States blocks Iranian ports.

President Donald Trump announced yesterday that the United States will continue to block Iranian ports. According to him, the blockade will continue until Iran concludes an agreement with the United States regarding, among other things, Tehran’s nuclear program.
