The FSB detained a German citizen and a citizen of an unnamed Central Asian country in the case of an attempted terrorist attack (Part 3 of Article 30; Clause “a” of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), reported (http://www.fsb.ru/fsb/press/message/single.htm%21id%3D10440649%40fsbMessage.html) intelligence service public relations center.
The terrorist attack was allegedly planned “at a facility of law enforcement agencies of the Stavropol Territory.”
An explosive device with a capacity of 1.5 kg of TNT was allegedly found in a 57-year-old German woman’s backpack. According to the FSB, the 1997 man, a “supporter of radical ideology,” was supposed to remotely detonate the device, and the woman would have died on the spot.
“Ukrainian special services” are involved in the attempted terrorist attack, the FSB believes.
In a video published by the FSB, a man says that he met a member of the Islamic State* on the Internet and planned to blow up a woman with explosives as she walked “towards a military building.”
A detained German citizen said that in 2022, “a man with a pronounced Ukrainian accent contacted her and offered her a well-paid job.” And on April 9, 2026, the “curator” asked her to bring a backpack to one of the “law enforcement facilities”, and she was detained with it (and laid face down on the ground, pointing machine guns, judging by the operational video).
