The lesson was dedicated to ecology, waste recycling and healthy habits. However, the environmental agenda was reduced primarily to the personal discipline of schoolchildren, and not to the systemic causes of environmental pollution.

It was explained to the students that “the state of the planet is the personal responsibility of each person,” since “the quality of life and the future of all humanity” depend on each person’s decisions. Environmental pollution, according to the authors of the script, occurs due to unconscious consumption and everyday habits of citizens.
“Why, in your opinion, is the waste problem everyone’s personal responsibility?” is one of the questions for reflection.

During the lesson, children were told how the waste management system works - from containers near the house to sorting, recycling and disposal at landfills. At the same time, it was separately emphasized that the state plays a key role in regulating the industry , and the task of residents is to help the system by correctly sorting waste at home.
Schoolchildren were also asked to discuss “conscious consumption” : buy less unnecessary things, reuse things and develop environmental habits.
“But in modern environmental culture, recycling is only part of a larger system. It is based on eliminating unnecessary things, reducing and reusing things,” the teacher’s phrase according to the script.

High school students were traditionally shown an excerpt from the Besogon TV program. Nikita Mikhalkov recalled that “no one has such wealth as we do” and read Tvardovsky’s quatrain from the poem “Vasily Terkin”:
“How big the land is, the Greatest land. And she would be someone else’s, someone else’s, otherwise she would be her own.”
At the end of the lesson, the teachers once again advertised the All-Russian Award “Talks about Important Things”. The children were asked to come up with a new format for video announcements of these lessons and record their own video on one of the topics in the series.
