
Ukrainian drones attacked Yekaterinburg, a multi-storey residential building was damaged, said the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Denis Pasler.
According to him, six people sought medical help. Most of them have mild poisoning from combustion products. One resident was hospitalized. About 50 residents were evacuated from the building. Some of them are in temporary accommodation centers.
We are talking about the Trinity residential complex in the city center. According to local media reports, the main damage occurred on the upper floors - approximately from the 25th to the 30th. Residents reported that the first explosions were heard around 7 a.m. local time.
According to the local publication E1, many Yekaterinburg residents noted that neither before nor immediately after the attack they received any notifications about the unmanned threat. Messages were sent only by some operators and much later.
This is the first drone attack on the Sverdlovsk region. The city is located approximately two thousand kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
Drones also attacked the Chelyabinsk region. Local residents report explosions in the area of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.
According to Governor Alexei Teksler, there were no casualties or destruction.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 127 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight over the regions of the country and the annexed Crimea. Restrictions on receiving and departing flights were introduced at the airports of Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Krasnodar and other cities.
