1523rd day. One of the largest Ukrainian drone attacks on Sevastopol: SBU claims that three Russian warships were damaged in the port

Ukrainian drones carried out a massive attack on Sevastopol tonight. According to the Ukrainian Security Service, three Russian warships were damaged as a result.

According to the intelligence service, the drones damaged the large landing ships Yamal and Filchenkov, as well as the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs. The SBU published photos taken from drones before the strikes - the scale of the damage is unclear from them.

According to the SBU, the Belbek airfield and the MiG-31 standing on the airfield were also damaged; training center "Lukomka" and the headquarters of radio intelligence of the air defense forces.

There is also no independent confirmation of the consequences that the attack led to.

The Russian-appointed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said in the morning that at night “one of the most massive raids” was carried out on Sevastopol since the beginning of the war. According to Razvozhaev, the Ukrainian military sent about a hundred drones to the Crimea region.

According to Razvozhaev, one person was killed and four more people were injured as a result of the attack. A total of more than 50 private and apartment buildings were damaged, mostly with broken windows. In Sevastopol, the movement of electric trains was temporarily suspended.

Razvozhaev did not explain what the purpose of the raid was, and also did not confirm damage to the ships in the bay of Sevastopol. The Russian Ministry of Defense also did not comment on the situation.

After the raid, the governor of the annexed city also called on residents to enroll in mobile fire groups so that, together with the air defense forces and the Black Sea Fleet, they could help defend the city from Ukrainian attacks.

On April 18, during the previous major attack on Sevastopol, the SBU also reported that drones damaged three Russian ships - among them, according to the intelligence service, were also the Yamal and Filchenkov. Then the SBU claimed that they were disabled. The Russian-appointed authorities of the peninsula then stated that they had shot down 22 drones, but did not report the consequences.

According to Radio Liberty, satellite images of the Sevastopol port showed that after the attack on April 18, a strong fire started there, during which two fuel tanks completely burned out.

War is an absolutely immoral act that has no justification, political, cultural, historical, or any justification at all, even if everyone around you thinks differently. I don’t know how it happened that my peers, with whom I grew up in the same country and in the same culture, suddenly chose “we can repeat it” instead of “if only there is no war.” I can guess about something, but after a while their logic is simply not interesting to me.

I am a smart, kind, humorous, inquisitive, interesting person. I will always love this in myself and in others, no matter what happens to us. After the first six months of the war, which I spent in panic attacks and in desperate drunkenness, I realized that I would never agree if the weak are offended, a woman is raped, a child is humiliated, or an animal is tortured. This is such a simple internal solution! I will never recognize black as white, which means I will never live in the fear and hatred that they spread among us.

I want to say - if you feel bad now, you're fine. This is what it means to be a normal person in abnormal conditions. If you are lonely, one day we will meet, we will recognize each other in the crowd by our gaze, by silence, by facial expression, by our reluctance to harm another. This is a dark time in which you have the opportunity to be a light in this world.
