Serbia has granted citizenship to the CEO of Logika Milk, Yakub Zakriev, who is also known as the nephew of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The Bell drew attention to the publication of the Serbian publication Nedeljnik with reference to the order in the publication Službeni glasnik .
The document with the wording “in the interests of the republic” was signed by Prime Minister Juro Matsut. What exactly Serbia's interest in Zakrijevo is is not specified. Previously, the Serbian authorities granted citizenship to Russian oligarchs under international sanctions, the Serbian publication draws attention.
Yakub Zakriev is the son of Zulay Kadyrova, the elder sister of the head of Chechnya. Until 2023, Zakriev served as mayor of Grozny and deputy prime minister - minister of agriculture of the republic.
In 2023, Putin signed a decree transferring shares of the French company Danone to the temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency, and Zakriev was appointed general director of Danone Russia. In July 2025, he headed the Akhmat football club, replacing Kadyrov's son Akhmat.
Now the former Danone Russia company, under the leadership of Zakriev, operates under the Logic of Milk brand. Its official owner is Chechen businessman Ruslan Alisultanov. According to the publication Cric , he also received Serbian citizenship - this happened on March 14, 2024, the document was signed by the Chairman of the People's Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic. Members of Ruslan Alisultanov's family - his two daughters and two sons - also received Serbian citizenship.
A Serbian passport gives visa-free entry to EU countries and a total of 85 countries around the world. At the same time, Zakriev and Alisultanov are not under EU sanctions, so they will be able to travel to Europe without hindrance.
