Cloudflare flags Max messenger as a spy app

The largest hosting provider Cloudflare flagged a domain belonging to the “national messenger” Max as spyware, Vorstka discovered.

It is unknown at what point the service assigned this status to the domain. At the same time, the Cloudflare website indicates that the Max domain still has a TLS certificate, which indicates the authenticity of the project.

In addition, the Max application is still available for download in the AppStore and Google Play.

Previously, Cloudflare flagged an unofficial client of the Telegram messenger called Telega as spyware. Against this background, his TLS certificate was revoked, and the AppStore removed the application from the catalog. Project representatives attributed the deletion to a classification error.

After this, iPhone users complained about problems with the phone's operation after updating iOS - according to them, the gadgets remained in the loading state for a long time, and then were blocked. Some users attributed this to the presence of the Telega application on their smartphone.
