On April 29, the Anapa Region publication published an “exclusive interview” with the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev. It spoke of a controlled situation with fires in the city, and also sounded an invitation to tourists to come on vacation - despite the environmental situation after attacks on oil refineries and “oil rains.”
The material, among other things, stated that the fires at the Tuapse Oil Refinery that started after attacks by Ukrainian drones were nothing more than “hotbeds of fire.”
“There are no serious “arrivals”, I am officially telling you this. And if there are some pockets of smoke, then this is solely due to the fall of debris from the apparatus,” said Kondratyev.
The governor also invited tourists to vacation in the Krasnodar region, stating that the region has a stable environmental situation:
“I invite everyone to come and relax with us. Hotels, beaches, children's health centers - everything is operating as usual. Our sea, our mountains and our sun are something that is stronger than any information noise. Come and see for yourself: life is in full swing here, everything is wonderful,” it said.
No later than the next morning, the note was deleted, but remained in the web archive . Today, Anapa Region told Vot Tak journalists that the interview with the governor appeared on the site as a result of a hack. They also accused “Vot Tak” of spreading “fake news” - the journalists were allegedly “purposefully informed” about the interview published by “malicious people.” It was he who hacked the site and published “fake” material - they didn’t say there.
Context . The day before, the terminal in Tuapse was attacked for the fourth time in a month. Today, the regional operational headquarters reported on the elimination of open burning. After previous attacks in Tuapse, air pollution, “black rain” and an oil slick in the sea were recorded.
