In the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte, a small single-engine Embraer plane crashed into a residential building and crashed into a parking lot near it, G1 and CNN Brasil reported.
There were five people on board the plane. The pilot and one of the passengers (according to other sources, the co-pilot) were killed. Three more passengers were injured and were taken to hospital.
The residents of the house were not injured. The rescue service said the plane crashed into the wall of the stairwell between the third and fourth floors of the building, without hitting the apartment nearby.
The crashed plane was supposed to land in Belo Horizonte and fly to Sao Paulo. When taking off from Pampulha airport in Belo Horizonte, the pilot reported technical problems to air traffic controllers. Previously, they were the cause of the crash.
