Schoolchildren will be required to search for “destructive content” on the Internet and monitor their peers

On Putin’s instructions, the government has developed a set of 41 measures to prevent “negative phenomena” among children and youth until 2030. Among them is the creation and development of school and student “cyber squads” and “media patrols” .

Such associations, according to Rosmolodezh, have already been operating since 2023. Teenagers and students monitor social networks, instant messengers and video hosting sites in search of “harmful content” - from drugs and bullying to “fakes”, suicidal topics and materials about school attacks. The collected information is transferred to the security forces for subsequent blocking.

Other measures include identifying minors who may be planning illegal actions, as well as conducting preventive conversations about responsibility for “extremist and terrorist crimes.”

❗️Separately, it is planned to establish interdepartmental cooperation to promptly block content about attacks on schools.

The head of Rosmolodezh Grigory Gurov called these measures a response to “modern challenges” of the digital environment. More than 70 regions and 18 federal departments, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education, participated in the development.

At the same time, the term “destructive ideology” used in the document, which the measures are aimed at combating, is interpreted as broadly as possible. According to Putin’s decree , this includes “values ​​alien to the Russian people” - from the denial of the “ideals of patriotism” and “Russia’s positive contribution to world history” to “the destruction of the family through the promotion of non-traditional sexual relationships.”
