The FSB accused two foreigners of striking a drone on the territory of a military unit in the Voronezh region

In the Voronezh region, two people were detained accused of blowing up a drone on the territory of a military unit, the FSB reported .

According to the intelligence service, two foreigners, “recruited by a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine” in a telegram, came to the region, took drones equipped with explosives from a cache and “detonated one of the UAVs on the territory of a military unit.”

Where exactly the drone exploded and whether anything was damaged is unclear from the press release.

Both men were sent to pre-trial detention center by court decision. The case was opened under articles about sabotage at a military facility (clause “c” of part 2 of article 281 of the Criminal Code), possession of explosives (clause “a” of part 3 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code) and the provision of “assistance to the enemy by a foreigner” (article 276.1 of the Criminal Code).

As part of the latest episode, according to a press release, the men are accused of buying “SIM cards registered under dummies on behalf of their curator” and checking the signal level “in specific areas of the area.”

All that is known about those arrested themselves is that they were born in 1982 and 1988 and that they are “citizens of the near abroad” (the FSB usually uses this as a euphemism for citizens of countries of the former republics of the USSR).
