Control of drones will be included in the GTO program; for fulfilling this standard, students will receive additional points for the Unified State Examination

Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev spoke about the decision to include UAV control in the GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) physical education and sports complex for schoolchildren. As Interfax clarifies , in 2026 the standard will be introduced in test mode; from 2027, “everyone who wants” will be able to pass this standard.

According to Degtyarev, when passing the GTO, you will need to control a small drone. The diagonal size of its frame is 75 millimeters.

According to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated November 27, 2024, applicants who have the GTO mark have the right to receive an additional two to five points for the Unified State Exam upon admission to a university. At the same time, each university independently determines how many points to add for this achievement, but their amount must remain within the limits of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The website of the Synergy online school states that in 2025, the maximum amount for all individual achievements (including the GTO, certificate with honors, volunteering and other options) was 10 points.
