Schoolchildren will receive points added to their Unified State Exam for operating a UAV.

Russian authorities continue to turn additional admission points into a tool for involving teenagers in militarized projects. Now they have decided to integrate the control of drones into the GTO - the “Ready for Labor and Defense” complex.

Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev said that in 2026 the standard for operating UAVs will be tested, and from 2027 “everyone will be able to pass it.”

❗️For the GTO sign, applicants can receive additional points for the Unified State Examination - from two to five, depending on the university.

According to our Archive , in the last academic year alone, Russian schools published more than 64 thousand posts mentioning the GTO. The leaders in the number of such publications were Moscow, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions.

The authorities use additional points for the Unified State Exam as a tool to involve teenagers in militarized and pro-government projects. Thus, graduates of the military-patriotic education center “WARRIOR” are already awarded bonuses upon admission to universities.

Similar mechanisms operate in other projects. Participants in the First Movement are promised bonuses upon admission and budget places; similar benefits exist in the Yunarmiya. Another example is the “Den” game project, launched by Putin after the start of the war. Schoolchildren are offered plus 10 points towards the Unified State Examination for mastering the skills of operating a UAV and developing software.
