Ukrainian drones attacked several regions of Russia on the night of May 31. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on 216 Ukrainian drones intercepted and destroyed over 10 regions of Russia, annexed Crimea and the Sea of Azov.
The governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, said that as a result of the drone attack, there was damage to civilian infrastructure. He did not provide any other details. The Ukrainian telegram channel Exilenova+ published videos in which the Saratov oil refinery is allegedly on fire. The hits at the refinery were confirmed by an analysis by Astra.
The governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, said that in the Matveevo-Kurgan region, due to the fall of drone debris, a fuel storage facility of a private enterprise caught fire. According to him, there were no casualties. Residents of nearby private houses were evacuated “to ensure safety.” In the village of Matveev Kurgan, a pharmacy, two shops, a car and a gas pipe were damaged, and a state of emergency was declared there.
A fire as a result of a drone attack also occurred at an enterprise in the Urzhum district of the Kirov region, said the head of the region, Alexander Sokolov. Ukrainian monitoring channels claim that we are talking about the Lazarevo linear production dispatch station (LPDS). The Armed Forces of Ukraine call it the key point of the Surgut-Polotsk oil pipeline, through which Russian oil is transported to the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga and to Belarus.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its report reported that Ukrainian drones hit the Saratov oil refinery, the Lazarevo station and a warehouse of fuels and lubricants in the Rostov region.
