Two captured Azov fighters were sentenced to 19 and 20 years in prison

The Southern District Military Court pronounced a verdict against two captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers - 30-year-old Dmitry Kishchenko and 32-year-old Vsevolod Shirokikh. Kishchenko received 19 years in prison, Shirokikh received 20 years, the press service of the court told Mediazona.

Both Ukrainians were found guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.4 (participation in a terrorist community) and 205.3 of the Criminal Code (undertaking training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities). They were accused of serving in the Azov regiment, it was clarified in court.

According to the WarTears project, Kishchenko was wounded in July 2022 as a result of an attack on the Volnovakha correctional colony in the DPR, after which he was captured. He served as a senior soldier in Azov.
