The Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Kirill Prisyazhnyuk on charges of murder and attempted murder 20 years ago. This was reported by the press service of the city courts.
According to investigators, on the evening of February 24, 2006, Prisyazhnyuk and “unidentified persons” with knives attacked two girls on Khlopin Street in St. Petersburg. As a result, one of the girls died on the spot, and the second was hospitalized.
According to the press service of the city courts, Prisyazhnyuk’s guilt is confirmed by witnesses. Fontanka, citing its sources, writes that Prisyazhnyuk himself also admitted guilt.
As the SOVA research center reported , the murdered girl’s name was Ainur Bulekbaeva, she is a citizen of Kazakhstan. The other girl’s name is Ilzufa Babayeva, she is from Azerbaijan. The victim was admitted to intensive care after the attack.
According to the Caucasian Knot, Prisyazhnyuk was detained in Makhachkala, where he lived in recent years with his wife named Sabikhat. From there the man was escorted to St. Petersburg.
“Paper” writes that in the 2000s Prisyazhnyuk was a member of the neo-Nazi group NS/WP “Nevograd”. In 2014, its participants were tried on charges of murder, hooliganism and inciting ethnic hatred. Prisyazhnyuk himself then received three years in prison, but spent the entire term in a pre-trial detention center.
In the pre-trial detention center, the man converted to Islam, and later, as SOVAwrote , he joined ISIS militants. In December 2016, the Supreme Court of Chechnya sentenced Prisyazhnyuk to four years in prison in the case of recruitment into the ranks of terrorists (Article 208 of the Criminal Code). According to the research center, he himself also planned to go to fight in Syria.
