The American company Anthropic, which developed the Cloud artificial intelligence model, has filed an application for an initial public offering (IPO). The company itself announced this.
Anthropic did not specify the timing or size of the IPO, saying it would depend on "market conditions and other factors." The New York Times suggests that the stock exchange could take place as early as this fall.
By filing for an IPO, Anthropic is ahead of its main competitor, OpenAI, the creator of the ChatGPT chatbot, which is also planning to go public. Whichever of the two companies is the first to go public will likely show the best results in the race for funding, NBC News notes .
In addition, at the end of June there will be an IPO of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, which is considered another giant in the field of artificial intelligence.
