• The 2nd Eastern District Military Court sentenced Altai activist Aruna Arna to five years in prison in the case of calls for terrorism. The reason for the persecution was the publication of the songs “Varshavyanka” and “International” in her Telegram channel.
  • In Syktyvkar, after jumping on the installation by May 9, they decided to register a group of eight-year-old children, and their parents were threatened with the removal of children from the family. According to Tatyana Kozlova, Commissioner for Children's Rights in Komi, there are no court decisions on the seizure yet, and the children's actions will be considered at a meeting of the commission on minors' affairs on June 2.
  • Engineer Nikolai Lekomtsev, convicted in the Artpodgotovka case, was released from IK-2 in Kazan on May 29. He was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison on charges of participation in an extremist organization due to the administration and participation in telegram chats. Lekomtsev has been imprisoned since October 2023.
  • The Kirovsky District Court of Irkutsk fined animal rights activists Tatyana Tayurskaya 12 thousand rubles and Yulia Shakiro 15 thousand rubles for participating in an uncoordinated picket against the bill on killing stray dogs. Both were detained on April 15 at the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region, when deputies passed a bill allowing the killing of stray animals recognized as terminally ill or aggressive.
  • A court in Kazan fined activist Leysan Sattarova 30 thousand rubles under the article of disseminating deliberately false information because of a video about forcing students to install the “Max” messenger. Sattarova claimed that she provided the court with evidence of pressure on students, but she was found guilty. The Ministry of Education of Tatarstan confirmed the requirements for installing the platform, saying that it does not violate the Constitution.
