In the telegram channel of State Duma deputy from United Russia Andrei Gurulev on the evening of June 1, a post was published about the situation at the front. The author of the publication discusses the “positional impasse” and the technological advantage of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the fuel crisis in Crimea annexed by Russia, which arose due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.

Among other things, the post states that the advance of Russian forces is “measured in meters and forest belts,” and also announces a “large-scale mobilization” in the fall of 2026. As stated in the text, “a fundamental decision on this matter has already been made.” The publication ends with a call to “make decisions and strictly implement them.”

Shortly after the publication, Gurulev reported in the Max messenger that his Telegram channel was “stolen” and “texts from there are being distributed by enemies.” The telegram post has not yet been deleted.

RTVI writes that Gurulev’s Telegram channel was hacked at the end of May. Fraudsters wrote personal messages on behalf of the deputy, demanding an urgent transfer of cryptocurrency. In addition, the channel published a post about an urgent collection of funds in cryptocurrency, supposedly for drones for the Airborne Forces. The publication was later deleted.

Gurulev’s assistant told the publication Podem that the deputy’s account was hacked in mid-May, and access to it has still not been restored.

• Andrey Gurulev is known for his harsh statements. Speaking about critics of the Russian government, he proposed to “destroy the rot” that does not trust Putin. In particular, the deputy counted Boris Akunin among those who “must be destroyed.” According to Gurulev, the writer is an “enemy” who “wants defeat for his country.” In January, a deputy proposed hitting US ships in response to the seizure of a tanker.
