Exhibitionism in the process of protecting the state sovereignty of Russia

Oleg Sviridenko (Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation) spoke very frankly at a meeting of the Federation Council commission on the protection of state sovereignty. This is the same Sviridenko who signs all orders to enroll the next victim in the register of foreign agents.

SVIRIDENKO. Among those declared foreign agents in 2025, only 4% found foreign funding. And until 2022, the only criterion for recognition as a foreign agent was foreign funding!

He thanked parliamentarians for adding a clause on “other forms of influence” to the federal law.

SVIRIDENKO. If now this only sign ( foreign funding. - Ed. ) remained, then this would be only 4% of foreign agents. Can you imagine, right? Where would everyone else hang out? And we would look with Rosfinmonitoring for this money, which does not exist. But money is not needed there - there are other forms there.

This is the same Sviridenko who, accompanied by a media scandal, resigned from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and who on the same day (!) became Deputy Minister of Justice. It is he who issues all the orders to enroll the next victim in the register of foreign agents.

“Other forms” is a brilliantly powerful and simple formula that allows you to accuse a person of anything without any evidence.

I didn’t sell prohibited substances, I didn’t blow things up, I didn’t set fire to them - how can they put you in prison? But you just need to write: “harmed and discredited in other forms.”

Speaking in the Federation Council (and in general in a situation of “one among others”), ministers and deputy ministers, prosecutors and generals lose all caution, expose themselves frankly, carefree and even with a feeling of deep satisfaction. I would call it political exhibitionism.

Psychology associates this behavior with the following factors:

• compensation for low self-esteem,

• desire to assert oneself,

• the desire to feel power and control over another person's reaction.

If there are political prostitutes (and no one doubts this), then it is quite possible to admit the existence of political and bureaucratic exhibitionists, isn’t it?
