The human rights project “OVD-Info” was added to the list of “extremist” organizations

Rosfinmonitoring included the human rights media project “OVD-Info” in the register of “terrorists and extremists.” This follows from data published on the department’s website.

In total, 36 organizations were included in the list, most of them are various structures of the human rights organization Memorial in Russia and abroad. Also included in the list are the human rights project “OVD-Info”, the cultural space “Revolt Center” and the museum “Perm 36”.

On April 9, the Supreme Court declared the “international movement “Memorial” “extremist.” After this, the Memorial Human Rights Center announced that it was ceasing all activities in the Russian Federation.
