On June 30, 2026 at 18:00 (CET+2, Minsk, Istanbul, Moscow time) the Greenhouse of Social Technologies will hold a meeting from the “CAPTCHA” series on the topic “Not with Google alone: trying different e-mail services.” The event is addressed to civil activists, journalists, volunteers and everyone who is concerned about security issues both in Russia and in other countries.
Why is this important
- Everyone uses email. Even those who today prefer to communicate via instant messengers need an email to register on different sites. For security reasons, it is better to have several addresses besides your main work one.
- In authoritarian regimes, officials restrict instant messaging and new technologies in general, but good old email is a channel that vigilant censors pay less attention to.
