18-year-old Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic. The medal was presented to him by his father, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

As the head of the government of the republic, Magomed Daudov, announced, Adam Kadyrov became the Hero of Chechnya “for outstanding services to the state, selfless service to the people, active and fruitful activities aimed at comprehensive support of the Northern Military District , and in connection with Russia Day.”

Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya for the second time. He was first awarded in October 2023, when he was 15 years old. The awarding of the title was then announced by State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov. This happened shortly after the son of the head of Chechnyabeat Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the case of burning the Koran, in a pre-trial detention center.

The regulations on the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic do not stipulate how many times one person can receive it. Ramzan Kadyrov, for example, is a twice-hero.
In the fall of 2026, elections for the head of the republic are due to take place in Chechnya. Ramzan Kadyrov said that he would put forward his candidacy if Vladimir Putin supported him. As of June 12, Kadyrov had not announced his participation in the elections.
Adam Kadyrov was called Ramzan Kadyrov's successor as head of Chechnya. In March, Novaya Gazeta Europe wrote that Adam is no longer considered in this capacity - the attitude towards him changed after an accident with his participation.
