Adam Kadyrov received the title of "Hero of Chechnya"

The 18-year-old son of the head of Chechnya, Adam Kadyrov, received the title of “Hero” of the republic for the second time. The official wording says that the reason for this was “outstanding services to the state.” For the first time, the younger Kadyrov became a “hero” in October 2023 after beating Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in the case of arson of the Koran, in a pre-trial detention center. He later held several government positions. The specific results of its activities are not reported.

The chairman of the republican government, Magomed Daudov, spoke about conferring the title on the son of the head of Chechnya. The decree was signed by Ramzan Kadyrov. In addition to his “outstanding merits,” he also noted Adam’s “selfless service to the people” and “active, fruitful activities aimed at comprehensive support for the Northern Military District” (as the Russian authorities call the invasion of Ukraine - Note) . Another reason was Russia Day, which is celebrated on June 12.

Probably on the same occasion, Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded a certificate of honor from the Ministry of Defense on the same day. This was reported by State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov.

• Adam Kadyrov began receiving awards, titles and positions in the fall of 2023 - soon after he beat Nikita Zhuravel, accused of burning the Koran, in the Grozny pre-trial detention center.
• Last April, Adam Kadyrov became secretary of the Chechen Security Council. A year before, he was appointed “curator” of the battalions named after Baysangur Benoevsky and Sheikh Mansur, the “Russian University of Special Forces” in Gudermes and the entire structure of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs. The younger Kadyrov's public activity in these positions was limited to participation in meetings and awards to fighters and employees of the departments under his supervision - it is unclear what exactly he is responsible for in his positions.
• At the end of May, Adam Kadyrov was awarded the medal “For his contribution to the conduct of a special military operation.” Since February 2022, Kadyrov Jr. has already received at least 22 awards, among the latest, for example, the “Defender of the Chechen Republic” medal and the Rosenergoatom gold medal “For services to improving the safety of nuclear power plants.”
